It's About the Skin, but It's NOT About the Skin

Hello Reader,

If You’ve Been Here a While, You Know This: It’s About the Skin — But It’s Not About the Skin.

For years, I’ve taught novice estheticians how to think differently.

How to move beyond memorizing ingredients and protocols.
How to consult with depth.
How to understand that symptoms are signals — not inconveniences.

That work isn’t changing, but this space is expanding.

I’m now intentionally reaching into the experienced esthetics community — the professionals who already know how to perform treatments, but want to go deeper.

Deeper into physiology.
Deeper into pattern recognition.
Deeper into meaningful client conversations.
Deeper into results that actually make sense.

Over the coming weeks, we’re going to explore topics that sit underneath the surface of the skin:

• How functional medicine principles change the way you interpret inflammation
• What chronic inflammation, gut dysbiosis, nutrient deficiencies, insulin resistance, and mitochondrial shifts actually look like
• How chronic stress chemistry affects barrier repair
• How traditional systems like Chinese face reading give us interesting opportunities to read the skin better
• Where the subconscious mind and behavior patterns intersect with skin physiology
• And how to translate all of that into practical, responsible application in the treatment room

Not theory for theory’s sake.

Practical integration.

Because the esthetician who understands systemic influence becomes more than a service provider. She becomes a critical thinker. A pattern recognizer. A professional who creates trust.

This is the direction we’re going.

If you’re a newer esthetician, stay. This will stretch you in the best way.

If you’re experienced and feeling like there has to be more depth than what the industry typically offers — you’re in the right place.

We’re building something that bridges skin science, functional health principles, and real-world application.

It's going to be a ton of fun!!
